About Mike Metschan

After receiving his BBA from The University of Texas, Mike joined the sales division of IBM. For more than twenty years, he enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing management. In 1991 Mike started his insurance agency. Since that time, he has built one of the finest agencies in Central Texas with an enviable reputation. He doesn't want to have the biggest agency in town, just the best. Retention of his clients is exceptionally high because of the way Mike and his staff take care of them, and because of the trust which has been created. Mike's clients learn what coverages they have with face-to-face reviews at a time and place convenient for the client.

Mike's commitment to community service includes being President of the Austin Aqua Festival, North Austin Rotary Club, and helping establish Leadership Austin. He has served as a Vice President of the Capitol Area Boy Scouts of America and recently received Scouting's highest adult award, the Silver Beaver. Mikes is passionate about the value of school mentoring and has been a mentor to an economically disadvantaged child for over twelve years. He has authored two books, Understanding Youth League Soccer and Achieving Your Potential.
